Plain Moron - Them Who Think They're Better

I've always been a huge fan of the manga, Liar Game since it was published in KReKO (I think), and I have been following the manga since then.

What really excites me about this particular manga is that it prompts you to actually do the thinking for the main characters, Nao and Akiyama. There are a lot of games in this manga, but all of them needs the players to do the most immoral things such as lie, betray, cheat, threat and many more to win the games. The winner will usually get billions worth of money, and the losers will end up being indebted to the game creator.

Now, why am I making an entry about this? Well, Liar Game is a thinking manga. You need to think a lot to understand the games and the plot. But somehow there are people out there who think they're better in thinking to actually out-think the author. Let's take a look at a few examples, shall we?

Moron #1 :

Dont kill me for this....but you can't force contractual obligations onto anyone by posting them 100 million yen. Furthermore, you cannot post 100 million yen and expect them to reject your offer to join the game. So in the real world this would never work because:


1. No one is going to post you 100 million yen.
2. Even if someone did, you have no contractual obligations to participate in the game.
3. Even if you do not send the money back it will not be considered as an acceptance to play on with the game.
4. In Common Law (and most civil law) posting something like this is considered the same as gifting.


O_O* Seriously the author should have reconsidered his starting for the manga....


I read up to Chapter 2 and find it beyond lame. O_O* I rather read pokemon than read Liar Game. At least pokemon still makes sense in its own make belief way but this is SO lame.... 

yazidy : Okay, this is a MANGA, as in COMIC, generally. There is no rule that contradicts to the 'unreal' surroundings or facts in comics. Sure, the author tried his best in making the manga as real as possible, but there are points of escape from reality which make this manga interesting. Why would you compare between Liar Game and Pokemon? It's like comparing caviar with jelly. Okay, caviar is exaggerating, but same difference. It's a manga. You can't expect it to be perfectly realistic. 

Moron #2 :

I couldn't stand it too. Stopped reading after chapter 4 and started Sailor Moon instead. 

yazidy : Yeah, read Sailor Moon instead. Your stiff mind wont stand a chance with Liar Game.

The more I think about these people, the more I can come up with psychological explanations on 'why they react such way towards the manga?'. The first thing that came to my mind was the idea of them thinking they've figured out the entire plot of the manga, and since the manga itself is about questioning others, these people somehow in their 'hateful' mind absorbed the most basic idea of the manga, and that is 'to question the logical' of, well, this manga.

Then there is also the unconsciousness. To not to be tempted to out-think the author is something that we cannot escape from, but what we can do is we can always limit ourselves, our minds specifically to stay inside the 'reader's circle'. This is to ensure we fully enjoy the manga without being too much of a prejudice prick.

Plain Tutorial - Let's Learn Manga : Eye

Hai.

Aku nak buat entry2 pasal melukis la.. Bukan pasal melukis la, tapi nak ajar melukis.. Bukan la aku ni pandai sangat, tapi just nak share2 info dan trick melukis je.. Aku tgk ramai lak yang suka post2 melukis aku.. Huhuhu..

Korang minat melukis tak? Aku memang agak minat melukis nih. Dari kecik aku minat, tapi sejak aku sekolah menengah, aku sedar yang aku ade bakat la sket dalam melukis. Tapi tak cantik pun. Biasa2 je. Ni antara contoh lukisan aku (ni aku lukis lepas Perhimpunan Bulanan tadi).

So hari ni aku nak tunjuk sket cara2 aku melukis. Biasa kalau aku nak lukis, aku akan lukis bahagian mata dulu. Lepas tu baru aku leh buat bahagian lain. Sebab bagi aku mata memainkan peranan penting dalam menunjukkan ekspresi watak yang dilukis. So kalau aku lukis bahagian lain dulu, nanti bila tiba part mata, dan aku lukis tak jadi, tak ke membazir je aku lukis yang awal2 tadi?

Jadi untuk tutorial (tutorial ke ni?) yang pertama ni, aku nak tunjuk cara aku melukis bahagian mata.

 1. Outline asas bahagian mata. 

Bahagian mata mempunyai 2 bahagian yang asas iaitu bola mata dan kelopak mata. Jadi untuk melukis mata, kena la buat dulu outline anatomi mata yang asas tu. Kalau tengok kat sketch di atas, aku hanya lukis garisan asas bola mata yang tak terlalu bulat, kelopak mata atas dan kelopak mata bawah. Oleh kerana lukisan aku berbentuk manga, jadi haruslah mata besar. Huhu.

 2. Tebalkan outline dan tambahkan kesan 'lighting'.

Langkah seterusnya, aku tebalkan outline bagi memastikan kekemasan sketch, dan aku tambahkan garisan di bahagian kelopak mata atas sebagai kelopak mata yang mempunyai bulu mata. Selain tu, aku jugak tambahkan 2 bulatan di bahagian dalam bola mata untuk kesan cahaya.

 3. Gelapkan kawasan anak mata.

Langkah seterusnya, aku gelapkan bahagian atas bola mata bagi kesan terlindung dari cahaya dan juga untuk mewujudkan anak mata dalam bola mata tersebut. Oleh kerana aku lukis ni menggunakan pensel, jadi proses menggelapkan tu ada sedikit tak sekata.

 4. Menggelapkan kawasan tepi bola mata, dalam bola mata dan kelopak.

Seterusnya, Gelapkan bahagian tepi bola mata, atas bola mata dan juga tebalkan alis mata bagi menampakkan lagi lukisan yang lebih menyerlah.

5. Tambahkan ciri2 sampingan.

Akhir sekali, tambahkan pembayang bola mata, bulu kening kelopak atas dan bawah dan kemaskan lukisan. Siap.

Sebenarnya Bentuk dan cara melukis mata adalah mengikut selera pelukis sendiri. Terdapat banyak jenis dan bentuk lukisan mata bagi komik manga. Contohnya seperti gambar di bawah ni.

Teknik aku melukis pun berubah2 dari tahun ke tahun. Jadi terpulang la pada pelukis sendiri, style macam mana yang sesuai ngan korang.

Oklah, cukup untuk kali ni. Lain kali aku buat tutorial tentang cara2 melukis bahagian lain lak.

Plain Hobby - Manga-fied Soul!

Dah agak lama aku tak update blog nih.. Sorry kat kengkawan yg tunggu (takde siapa menunggu la yazid oiii!!) post2 terbaru dari aku.. Jadi kali ni aku nak post sesuatu yg santai2 je.. Lgpun aku takde Astro, so mmg tak dpt la nak layan Maharaja Lawak, so hapdet blog jer laaaaaaa...

Aku yakin kalau korang dalam era aku (yang lahir dalam era 80-an), sure korang melalui benda yang sama yang aku lalui dulu; iaitu sangat suke membaca Manga.. Huhuhuhu..

Bagi yang tak tau, Manga adalah genre komik yang berasal Jepun.. Ala, yang komik2 mata besar, mulut kecik, rambut over, body mantap tuuuu.. Kalau tengok lukisan2 aku dalam album Sketch kat FB tu pun, banyak dipengaruhi unsur2 manga..

Pada kawan2 sekolah aku dulu, mesti korang ingat yg kita selalu tukar2 komik yg dibawa secara haram ke sekolah kan.. baca mase cikgu takde (tapi ade gak yg baca mase cikgu tgh mengajar).. Yg paling aku ingat, Ming Fooi ngan Murugan siap bawak video tape (zaman sebelum kemunculan VCD) anime2 ke sekolah utk tukar2.. Aku lak tukar2 komik manga ngan Hairul, Epen, Su, Ikhwan, Mizan, Daus dan beberapa kwn2 laen..

Pada org2 yg kenal aku, mesti korg tau yg aku agak suka melukis.. Dalam FB aku ade album (My Sketch) yg khusus utk sketch2 yg aku buat dan aku sempat upload.. skrg aku tgh pikir sama ada nak letak pic2 tu kat sini ke x.. aku mcm agak malas nak upload.. haha!! Agak2 perlu x?
