Plain Hobby - Manga-fied Soul!

Dah agak lama aku tak update blog nih.. Sorry kat kengkawan yg tunggu (takde siapa menunggu la yazid oiii!!) post2 terbaru dari aku.. Jadi kali ni aku nak post sesuatu yg santai2 je.. Lgpun aku takde Astro, so mmg tak dpt la nak layan Maharaja Lawak, so hapdet blog jer laaaaaaa...

Aku yakin kalau korang dalam era aku (yang lahir dalam era 80-an), sure korang melalui benda yang sama yang aku lalui dulu; iaitu sangat suke membaca Manga.. Huhuhuhu..

Bagi yang tak tau, Manga adalah genre komik yang berasal Jepun.. Ala, yang komik2 mata besar, mulut kecik, rambut over, body mantap tuuuu.. Kalau tengok lukisan2 aku dalam album Sketch kat FB tu pun, banyak dipengaruhi unsur2 manga..

Pada kawan2 sekolah aku dulu, mesti korang ingat yg kita selalu tukar2 komik yg dibawa secara haram ke sekolah kan.. baca mase cikgu takde (tapi ade gak yg baca mase cikgu tgh mengajar).. Yg paling aku ingat, Ming Fooi ngan Murugan siap bawak video tape (zaman sebelum kemunculan VCD) anime2 ke sekolah utk tukar2.. Aku lak tukar2 komik manga ngan Hairul, Epen, Su, Ikhwan, Mizan, Daus dan beberapa kwn2 laen..

Alamak, dah agak lama aku tak hapdet (update) blog ni.. Broadband aku dah nak sampai limit ler.. Nak hapdet ke tak ek? Hapdet je la......

Kali ni aku takde apa2 cerite hangat @ hangit @ hangus @ separuh masak yang nak diceritakan. Cuma nak kongsi pengalaman aku bekerja kat tempat lama, yang pernah aku keje sebelum ni. Sebelum aku terjerumus ke kancah keje gomen ni, sebelum ni aku keje kat banyak tempat.. Ade keje kilang, keje opis, keje cleaner (seriously) dan byk lagi.. Untuk episode Passed Past kali pertama ni, aku nak citer pasal keje aku mase kat Gemas dulu...

Plain Hobby - A Few Chords More...

As I blogged about the music class that I attended here, it is only a matter of time until I get better in playing guitar, but it seems like it's gonna take forever for me to just master the 4 basic chords. :P

Since the first day I learn on how to play guitar until today (it has been 5 entire days), I can't seem to master the 4 chords perfectly (and I blame my fingers for that). I (I mean my fingers) slipped over and over again during the transition process between the chords, and it frustrates the living hell out of me!

These are the chords that I'm struggling to get a hold to :

1. G

I think the most in-strenuous-to-my-fingers chord would be the chord G. I can easily nail the chord even with my eyes closed. But in order to get the note right, I need to delay the pressing of the 5th and 6th strings for like, 0.5 seconds. Haha!!

Plain Cool! - More Hands, Less Hassle...

Pada jam 8.30 malam td, penduduk2 Blok 1-A telah bekerjasama bergotong-royong membersihkan kawasan luar rumah masing2 dan kawasan tangga di setiap tingkat Blok 1-A, kecuali tingkat paling atas yang tidak berpenghuni itewww (walaupun kadang2 kedengaran bunyi mcm org pindahkan katil, tolak meja kat rumah atas rumah aku tu malam2).. Tapi aku join diorg lambat sket sebab aku g makan dulu spt yang aku post kat Facebook.

Aktiviti gotong-royong dimulakan dengan ungkapan Bismillah (katernyer), dan seterusnya beberapa org ditrugaskan utk sapu dulu kawasan yang hendak dibasuh. Bila diorang dah habis sapu tingkat 2, aku ngan Abg Jek pun mula basuh tingkat 2. Curah air, letak sabun, pastu bermulalah aktiviti goyang Inul (sebab menyental lantai guna berus penyapu).

Plain Shocking - Electric Shock!

Adalah menjadi kebiasaan aku utk tak balik rumah masa rehat tengah hari. Aku akan duk opis je sebab ade aircond. Tapi hari ni aku terdetik nak balik rumah sebab bosan duk opis.. Lepas dah lepak2 kat rumah, aku pun bersiap2 utk balik ke opis.

Sebelum g ke kereta, aku singgah jap kat peti surat untuk tgk surat. Surat takde, tapi ade bil letrik. SO aku pun ambik bil rumah aku, dan terus aku terkejut bila aku tengok jumlah yang perlu dibayar. Untuk penggunaan dari 9 Mac 2011 hingga 8 April 2011, aku kena bayar RM31.60. WHATT??!!

Plain Wet - Flooded Memories...

Masa aku dok belek2 handphone2 aku yang murah tu, aku masuk dlm galeri dan tgk gambar2 lama yang aku pernah snap.. Godek punya godek, aku terjumpa beberapa gambar yang membuatkan aku terfikir utk menulis ttg gambar2 tersebut..

Semasa di penghujung Monsun yg lepas, lebih kurang dalam awal bulan 3 yg lepas, hujan telah turun kat kawasan Muadzam Shah terchenta ni tanpa henti selama beberapa hari. Untuk pengetahuan, Muadzam Shah pernah terputus hubungan dengan dunia luar masa dilanda banjir beberapa tahun yg lepas (tapi masa tu aku tak keje kat sini lagi) apabila Jalan Ladang Hwali, Jalan Ladang Trading dan Jalan Kampung Baru Bukit Ibam di Bera terpaksa ditutup kerana dinaiki air.

Mujurlah hujan yang turun masa bulan 3 tu tak menyebabkan Muadzam Shah terputus hubungan lagi. Tapi hujan tu telah menyebabkan sesetengah kawasan dalam Politeknik Muadzam Shah ni dinaiki air hingga ke paras yang agak membimbangkan. Ni antara gambar2 yang aku sempat snap :

Plain Hobby - Music Heals Faster Than Time...

Dalam blog aku sebelum ni yang bertajuk Severely Scarred Civic, aku ada cerita serba sedikit ttg kelas muzik yang aku join. So kat sini aku akan terangkan dengan lebih jelas ttg kelas tersebut.

Pada 10 April (Ahad) lepas, aku telah pergi ke KL untuk menyertai satu kelas yang dianjurkan oleh Yayasan Kesenian Kebangsaan (National Conservatory of Arts) yang bertempat di 333, Persiaran Ritchie Off Jalan Ritchie, KL.

Yayasan tersebut merupakan sebuah NGO yang menyokong pendidikan kesenian melalui promosi tempatan dan penglibatan komuniti.

Plain Moron! - Severely Scarred Civic...

Pada minggu lepas, aku dipelawa oleh kawan aku kat KL untuk menyertai satu kelas yang dianjurkan oleh Yayasan Kesenian Kebangsaan (The National Conservatory of Arts) kat 333, Persiaran Ritchie Off Jalan Ritchie, KL. Tapi post ni bukan utk aku ceritakan ttg kelas tu, tapi sesuatu yang lain.

Jadi setelah menerima pelawaan kawan aku tu, pada Sabtu lepas (9 April) aku pun bertolak ke KL. Oleh kerana aku dikehendaki utk bawa gitar untuk kelas tu, jadi aku pun singgah dulu kat rumah Azri untuk pinjam gitar yang dia pinjam dari Ajip dan setelah dapat gitar, aku pun bertolak ke KL dalam pukul 10.30 am..

Macam biasa, kalau aku g KL, aku akan bawak kereta sampai ke Stesen Komuter Seremban, parking kat situ dan aku akan naik komuter ke KL. Jadi dalam pukul 1 tengah hari tu, aku pun sampai kat stesen komuter Seremban. Haaaa!! Ni yang aku nak citer ni... Ceciter!! Ceciter!!

Plain Moron! - Truancy vs Currency...

Semalam merupakan hari jadi kawan kat tempat kerja aku nih, tapi oleh sebab semalam dia baru balik dari kursus, so hari ni aku dan kawan2 kat tempat kerja ni plan nak celebrate birthday dia la kononnya.. So bincang punya bincang, kitorang plan la nak sambut kat sebuah restoran yang bernama Wawa kat Muadzam nih.. Sape2 orang Muadzam Shah mesti tau tempat ni sebab ia agak grand (walaupun makanan xde la sedap pun dan servis lembab). Selepas bagi2 tugas, aku pun ditugaskan untuk call restoran ni untuk book makanan untuk 6 orang makan....

Lalu pada jam 11.49 pagi, aku pun call la restoran tersebut. Perbualan kitorang lebih kurang macam ni (aku sbg Y dan org yg angkat telefon tu sbg W) :

W : Restoran Wawa di sini.
Y : Assalamualaikum. Saya Yazid dari Politeknik Muadzam Shah. Saya nak tanya sikit, petang ni restoran awak bukak tak?
W : Petang ni bukak.
Y : Bukak pukul berapa ya?

Green Plain Hand - Bloomed withers...

During Politeknik Muadzam Shah Konvokesyen ceremony last few weeks, me and 4 others in my office had a bargain of 2 bouquets of red roses for a price of RM20. A steal, as we got 10 roses with a bunch of other small flowers.

Now that a few weeks has passed, all of the roses has withered, leaving only the small flowers. Now, the condition of the flowers depend on the person who takes care of them.

Plain Disgusting - Visitor or Permanent Residence?

Upon feeling an uncontrollable drowsiness at work (maybe caused by reading too many pages of a 1060-paged book), I went to the pantry in my office, knowing that there are a few sachets of Nescafe 3-in-1 drink. I can get nicotine-jolt just by thinking of the sachets. As I opened the drawer where we placed the sachets and grabbed into the plastic packet to get a hold to 1 of the sachets, I can see that one of the sachets had a hole on it. Without having to think further, I knew that,

Salam.

Aku cukup suka bila orang teka umur aku, dia sebut umur yang jauh lebih muda dari umur aku yang sebenar. Huhu.

Situasi 1 :

Masa aku balik kampung awal tahun ni sebab pakcik aku meninggal, aku balik ngan seluruh family aku iaitu ayah aku, mak aku, adik lelaki aku (23 thn), adik perempuan aku (26 thn) & suami dia, adik perempuan aku yg lagi 2 orang, 15 thn & 4 thn. Kitorg naik 2 kereta sebab tak muat.

Sebelum sampai kat kampung, kitorg singgah kat kedai makan sebab masing2 lapar tahap barai. Masa tengah makan2 tu, makcik tauke kedai tu peramah lak, dan start borak2 ngan mak n abah aku. Pastu dia start tanya pasal adik-beradik kitorg. Bila dia tanya siapa anak sulung dan mak aku tunjuk kat aku, makcik tu terkejut. Dia ingat adik ipar aku tu yg sulung, adik perempuan aku no. 2, adik lelaki aku no. 3 dan aku no. 4! Hahaha! Aku cukup rase seronok sebab makcik tu ingat aku lebih muda dari adik aku yg beza umurnya ngan aku ialah sebanyak 7 tahun! :)

Plain 'Technofied' - A New Wave...

Starting today, me and my colleagues have a new toy to play with each morning and evening. It's a new gadget for recording the time we come to work and the time we left the office. I remember since the first day I worked here, we've been using punch card machines to record our attendance. In case you don't know what a punch card machine is, this is a picture of it.


The idea is to use that white thingy to print the time at the yellow card, so that they can detect the times we get in and out. It's not that hi-tech, but it's dependable and easy to use.

Plain Grassy - Floral touch...

A few weeks ago, our office received a package that consists 3 plants. And starting from that moment, deep in our hearts we knew that we have a new commitment to share between our staffs; that is to water those plants everyday.

Now after a few weeks, I took a glimpse at those poor plants.. And these are how they look like this afternoon...


The first plant. I don't even know it's name, and from the color of it's leaves, I know that it's dying for the lack of water...


The second plant. I still don't know the name of the plant, and it suffers the same fate as the first plant. The flowers look like they're at the end of spring break.

Plain Malaysian - May I Help You?

I'm currently working in an office where we have a PAP (Pembantu Am Pejabat - Office General Helper) who acts as our receptionist too. She sits behind the counter, entertaining visitors. I'm not writing this to question her job because she is doing a pretty good job (despite her moody behavior and her passion in mumbling stuffs), but I want to express my thoughts about those people at the other end of the line, the VISITORS.

We have lots of visitors (hardly), ranging from our own students to unknown people who try to suck the money out from our accounts. They come, they do whatever they wanna do, they leave. Sounds easy, isn't it? Well, it is, as long as they follow these steps :

1. They enter the main door
2. They go to the counter, where we have the lovely lady (our receptionist) waiting
3. They tell the receptionist what they want; whether to drop something for the lecturer or to meet someone or whatever
4. The receptionist will then take them to see the person they wanna meet, or ask them to drop their things in the pigeon hole
5. They say thanks (rarely), and leave
6. We live happily ever after
